📢 Attention 4th & 5th Grade Families!

We’re excited to share an update about breakfast for our students!
After thoughtful conversations, we’ve decided to move away from the “grab-and-go” breakfast in classrooms and bring breakfast back to the cafeteria. This will give students the chance to enjoy their meal together with friends, while also helping keep our classrooms clean and ready for learning.

🍽️ Breakfast in the Cafeteria

🕒 7:45–8:15 a.m.

📍 Students should head straight to the cafeteria upon arrival (by bus or parent drop-off) if they plan to eat breakfast.

This week (starting tomorrow), we ask that all 4th and 5th graders who are eating breakfast join us in the cafeteria between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m.

Thank you for your support as we make this transition. We’re thrilled to return to this tradition and give students the chance to start their day together!

💛🍩 Our first Parent Teacher Club (PTC) event of the year, Goodies with Grandparents, was a HUGE hit! 🖤

We had such an amazing turnout, and it was so special to see grandparents and loved ones spending time with our students. 💕

Thank you to all the grandparents and special family members who joined us yesterday—you made it unforgettable!

We can’t wait for more PTC events throughout the year as we continue to celebrate and bring our school community together. 💛🖤

Good morning families,

Due to poor/unhealthy air quality, recess will be held indoors this morning. Please direct students to the elementary gym. If conditions improve, we will move recess back outside.

Thank you!

💛 It’s all hands on deck at our school — everyone pitches in wherever they’re needed! Here’s Ms. Bauer jumping in to clean up a spill in the 4th grade hallway. 🚰✨

Big or small, these moments show how we care for one another and keep our school a joyful place to learn and grow. 🌟

🐝💛 Mrs. Larson’s 1st graders had a blast showing their school spirit today! They labeled our Yellowjacket mascot and then marble-painted their own creative versions. 🎨✨ To make it even more special, one of her students taught the class a fun song he learned this summer to help remember the parts of an insect! 🎶🪲 We love seeing learning, creativity, and school pride come together!

Weekend Birthday Peeps 🥳

🌟✨ What an Amazing First Day! ✨🌟

Yesterday was a wonderful start to the school year at Stevensville Elementary! Our students showed PAX Leader behavior all day long—being kind, helpful, and eager learners. 🐝📚

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible staff 👏 who were all hands on deck—helping with lunches, transitions, recess, and more (often giving up their valuable prep time). You all definitely earned the upcoming 4-day weekend! 😉

And of course, thank you to our wonderful families who filled our halls with love and support as they walked their kiddos in on the first day—it was the perfect way to kick things off. 💛

We especially loved seeing the theme in Ms. Praast’s 2nd grade classroom: “Our Future is Bright.” That rings true for all of us here at Stevensville Elementary—because it truly is! ☀️💡

Here’s to an amazing year ahead—woohoo! 🚀

Important Transportation & Pick-Up Procedures:
Dear Families,

As we prepare for the first day of school, we need your help to ensure that end-of-day transportation runs smoothly and safely for all students. Please read the following reminders carefully:

Bus Registration -
All students riding the bus must be registered. If your child is not yet registered, please complete bus registration before Monday.

If a child is not registered for the bus, they will need to be picked up at school.

Daily Transportation Changes -
If your child’s end-of-day plans are different (bus vs. pick-up), a parent/guardian must call the office by 2:45 p.m. so we have time to notify your child.

We cannot accept transportation changes from students. These messages must come directly from a parent/guardian.

End-of-Day Times -
School ends at 3:30 p.m. Please be on time for pick-up.

Pick-Up Procedures -
Grades 2–5: Students will wait with their teacher at their designated spot. Parent pick-up is located in the loop in front of the elementary building (Phillips Ave.).

Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Students will wait with their teacher on the southwest side of the school, on the blacktop by the playground. Parents may park in the elementary parking lot and walk to pick up, park on the east side of Park Ave., or arrange another plan with your child’s teacher ahead of time.

ELP Families: Your child’s teacher will send you specific pick-up details.

Bus Riders: Students will go to the bus loop in front of the middle school. This area is for buses only — please do not use this loop for student pick-up.

Walkers: Students younger than 3rd grade may not walk home unless accompanied by an older sibling.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us establish these routines before the first day. Following these procedures will reduce last-minute phone calls and confusion, and most importantly, will keep all of our students safe.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our routines smooth.

Truly,

Ms. Bauer & Mr. Hamilton
