This week, our 8th graders in Mrs. Luhmann's English classes were able to work with the Writing Coaches of Montana. The Writing Coaches of Montana offered seven amazing coaches to work individually with our students on their science fair paper focusing on ideas, organization, and much more! Each student felt empowered in their writing ability after meeting with these coaches, and we cannot wait to see their finished papers at our 8th Grade Science Fair on March 18th! Thank you to the Writing Coaches of Montana for your partnership, and we look forward to hosting you again!

Stevensville Middle School is starting a new positive recognition system called the Kudos Cards! Students will be recognized by our staff for showing one or more of our four model behaviors: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and a Graduate! Once a student earns a Kudos Card, all cards will be put into a drawing that will be drawn each Friday for students to win some Stevensville Yellowjacket gear, tickets to Stevensville games, and much more! We want to thank our amazing Booster Club for their partnership in providing some awesome rewards! Our first weekly Kudos Card winners were: Cole Tuckett, Curtis Riley, and Bryce Sopeland! They each received kudos for being responsible in helping set up chairs, picking up trash off the ground without being asked, and for being responsible in checking grades and following directions without prompting. Great work guys!

Our 6th grade did an amazing job presenting their Shark Tank inventions from the earliest centuries in China last Friday! The students practiced their public speaking while sharing facts about inventions such as the wheelbarrow, fish scale armor, the kite, and many more while also showing their marketing strategies and creating the packaging for their product. Well done to our 6th graders and their awesome social studies teacher, Ms. Frandsen!

🎶✨ What an amazing night at the Winter Choir Concert last Thursday. Our talented 6th and 7th/8th grade choir ensembles filled the room with incredible harmonies, heartfelt performances, and overall just beautiful singing. A huge shoutout to our dedicated choir members and the amazing director, Ms. Morton, who brought it all together with the most talented pianist, Julie Ludington. Your hard work and passion truly shined! 🌟 Thank you to all the families and friends who came out to support. Nights like these remind us of the power of music to bring us all together. ❤️🎶

It's time to dust off those ugly sweaters, silly socks, and Santa hats! We are inviting our students and staff to show off their holiday cheer next week (December 16th-20th) ! One festive student from each grade 6-8 will be chosen for a special treat each day Monday through Thursday. Friday, we encourage our students to wear their most festive holiday pajamas for a day of games and a movie! Our students and staff have worked tremendously hard throughout the year and we are excited to sprinkle in a little bit of fun before we depart on our winter break.
