Families of Stevensville Middle School Students,
The deadline for yearbooks has been extended to April 25th! We have sold more than half of our yearbooks already, and we only have a limited supply left.
8th graders, don't miss out on this opportunity to order a yearbook as it is your last year in middle school!
If anybody has pictures of boys and girls basketball, the yearbook team still needs these pictures, so please email them to Ms. Hayworth (hayworthm@stevensville.k12.mt.us). If you have any other pictures you would like to see in the yearbook, please feel free to email those as well! Thank you!

The Stevensville School District Board of Trustees would like to invite the community to a listening session in the Multi Purpose Room (Building D). This listening session will take place from 2:30-3:30pm on Wednesday, March 19.
We hope to see you there!

For our recent advisory classes, Stevensville Middle School students were challenged to create their own "Growth Mindset" posters based on the amazing bulletin board in our MS lobby. They reflected on fixed mindset thoughts they may have and had to change them into growth mindset thoughts. Each student did a great job of challenging their thought process to ensure they are always looking for opportunities to grow!
Our grade-level winners of this poster competition were:
6th grade: Reata Jones & Veda McCarthy!
7th grade: Zedekiah Spiers!
8th grade: Luca Schmidt!
Congratulations to our winners and great work everyone!
If you ever have the chance, please stop by our middle school as all of the Growth Mindset posters will be hung up proudly in our halls! We welcome you to come see them soon!

Last Saturday, some of our amazing Middle School students competed at National History Day 2025 in Helena. Students were to research and create a project that corresponded with this year's theme of Rights & Responsibilities in History. The key to this theme was addressing BOTH rights AND responsibilities. These are two powerful forces in history, but one does not work without the other. Our social studies teachers, Mr. Buerkle, Ms. Frandsen, and Mr. Wells supported our students as they prepared and then presented in Helena for the first round of competition.
Our students did a great job presenting on different topics ranging from Women's Rights to the Sinking of the Titanic. All of our students will advance to the state competition which will be in Bozeman in April! Great work students and teachers on representing Stevensville Middle School!

The Stevensville School District is excited to announce four superintendent finalists! Interviews are scheduled for February 26th. We encourage you to attend the community meet and greet in the MPR starting at 3:30PM. Interviews begin at 4:30PM.

We also did our second drawing for the Kudos Card winners. Ms. Tina Svaren had some help from one of our 6th graders, Russell Clagett in choosing our weekly winners!
Our winners were Blake Sopeland, Owen Wandler, and Braedy Hays.
They each received kudos for being responsible and respectful by plugging in all of the class Chromebooks, preparing hard for state testing, and being such amazing helpers! Congratulations you three, and thanks for being great representatives of Stevensville Middle School!

Each student felt empowered in their writing ability after meeting with these coaches, and we cannot wait to see their finished papers at our 8th Grade Science Fair on March 18th!
Thank you to the Writing Coaches of Montana for your partnership, and we look forward to hosting you again!

Stevensville Middle School is starting a new positive recognition system called the Kudos Cards! Students will be recognized by our staff for showing one or more of our four model behaviors: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and a Graduate!
Once a student earns a Kudos Card, all cards will be put into a drawing that will be drawn each Friday for students to win some Stevensville Yellowjacket gear, tickets to Stevensville games, and much more! We want to thank our amazing Booster Club for their partnership in providing some awesome rewards!
