Exciting News!
Makenna Monroe spent her Monday afternoon at the Jake Jabs College of Business in Bozeman, pitching her Babysitting/Pet Sitting business to the Montana Chamber and other top organizations! Out of 246 submitted businesses from across the state, Makenna was selected as one of 12 high school businesses to present, and she made it to the top 6 finalists in the Existing Business Category!
Competing for a chance to win $5,000, Makenna didn’t walk away empty-handed. She earned $1,000 for her business and a $1,000 scholarship to Jake Jabs College of Business!
What an incredible achievement! We're so proud of you, Makenna!

Science in Action!
Mr. Joyner’s class took learning outdoors on an exciting field trip to release trout alevins into the river—hatched right in their classroom! Students got hands-on experience with biology in the field, learning about ecosystems, life cycles, and the importance of conservation. What a great way to connect classroom lessons to the natural world!

A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers who helped make our Life Activity a success! Our Personal Finance students were assigned careers and families, then challenged to build real-world budgets covering housing, transportation, health insurance, groceries, and more. It was a valuable hands-on experience that brought financial literacy to life. We’re proud to make this a lasting tradition at SHS!
