YES! -- First Day Learning- Government students complete their first W.I.N.K. ( What I now Know) about our Federal Government.
YES! Week 1 Winner: Korinda Luhmann -- We started a program celebrating staff, students, and businesses: Yellowjacket Education Saga (YES!)! Mrs. Luhmann won a gift card to Amor and Tacos. Each week staff take a picture of learning going on in their classrooms or workspaces with a tagline. We then randomly choose a staff member for the weekly winner. Congratulations, Mrs. Luhmann.

TEACHING TEAMWORK FROM DAY 1 -- New teacher, Shealey McMillan, teaches expectations of teamwork right away from the first day. The 5th graders had to work together to stack the red cups in various formations only using the rubber bands and strings, no hands!
DEPARTMENT CHAMPS -- What a great start to the year for both staff and students. These two won the coveted Department Champs award. We don't know what that entails, but we think it must pretty prestigious!
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION A SUCCESS -- What an amazing day at the high school with our freshman. What a great way to start and get them acquainted with our campus and staff!

The Jumpstart students have been combining reading goals with Montana History and STEM projects. We read The Magic Tree House book Ghost Towns at Sundown and the students created their own Ghost Town.
JUMPSTART READING -- Tents in the classrooms helping kiddos get excited about reading.
SOLAR POWERED SMORES -- A lot of science, reading, and a little bit of math as students learn about solar power in a delicious fashion!
ATTENTION PARENTS, COMMUNITY, HOME SCHOOL PARENTS -- After a recent board vote on these items, from June 19-June 30, we will have materials up for disposal and available to the public. Congratulations on retirement! Valerie Pateman and Paula Onstad have been with the district for 27 and 22 years respectively! They have touched the lives of so many students and families! At our last school wide assembly they were honored! Help us wish them well on their next endeavors!
AMPLIFIED TEACHERS! -- Teachers came into for a training on our new Amplify English Language Arts curriculum. We are so excited to engage our students!
